🛸 Black to the Future: Rooted in Legacy, Powered by Imagination

Honoring Legacy. Celebrating Unity. Building the Future.

In 2025, we celebrated The Black Family Reunion as a powerful symbol of love, connection, and cultural legacy. In 2026, we take it further. This year, we go Black to the Future—an Afrofuturist celebration of freedom, creativity, and the futures we deserve.

Join us as we gather in unity once again, honoring the spirit of family as a cornerstone of resilience, a celebration of heritage, and the launchpad for radical imagination.

Experience a day of joy, reflection, and possibility at Roy Wilkins Park as we commemorate Juneteenth—the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas—and the ongoing fight for Black liberation.

🎶 Live music. 🎭 Dynamic dance. 🍽️ Local food. ✊🏾 Cultural pride.
✨ Afrofuturist art and installations. 💡 Intergenerational storytelling. 🚀 And more.

Explore a vibrant lineup of interactive BLACK-TIVITIES throughout the park, connecting community, culture, and the creative brilliance of our people.

This isn’t just a festival. It’s a portal.
